I placed a water drain pipe next to my pump they both have electricity and connected.
If i was to klick on a water pumping station it would say that it is turned on but it also says not operating.
It is available at the start of the game after building the first road.
If the water level does not increase it probably flows away elsewhere.
I sarted a new game currently doing the tutorial.
I started a game and set up a water pump at the front of the river and a sewer at the bottom then i connected them with the coal power plant using power lines and finally i connected the plants with pipes and unpaused the game.
A water pumping station pumps water to the city from a body of water.

For it to work you need to connect it with awater pipe.
Is the above current not strong enough.
The pump is on and says it is operating but the drain pipe says its not operating and the game keeps telling me to add one to release the sewage even though its right there.

Often it just takes some time for the water to reach that level.

You need the flint michigan mod and it ll work flawlessly.
Then it goes back to not operating.

Now i have 4 water pump sations for 25 houses and they are still not getting enough water.
Because its pumping agua and not water whatever that is.

The cargo terminal is busy there are people flooding out the train stations every time a train comes but trains are rarely full 600 or 800 per train.
Is there a fix.
Place the pumping station so that it will take in freshwater contaminated water will make citizens sick.
So what do i have to do for them to work.
Note that a water pumping station always.
Could it be that i need more houses for them to function.

You want to place your pumping station upstream of any sewage drains so that it will not be contaminated by water pollution.
